Margaret Lynn Brown is an author, researcher, writer, and professor of American history at Brevard College in western North Carolina. Her history of the Great Smoky Mountains, The Wild East, is popular in the national park’s visitor centers. More recently, she has written historical fiction, reviews, and essays.
